Hip-Hops Gay Sub Culture Exposed?

Tuesday May 20, 2008

hiding-hip-hop-book-dean-vl-vertical I found an interesting read on www.newsweek.com article revolving the sub culture of being gay in hip-hop. According to Terrance Dean who is a former MTV Staffer and has a new book out titled “Hiding in Hip Hop: On the Down Low in the Entertainment Industry–from Music to Hollywood ” there are a lot of present and former huge Hip-Hop superstars who have or may of been involved in some homosexuality activity (According to his book).

Just to let everyone know now I’m not gay in any shape, form, or way. I also don’t have anything against gay people at all and I’m unbiased to this all. I just decided to blog about this since the topic has been coming up more and more lately on the Hip-Hop sites. I also tagged this particular blog “what in the world” due to some artists hiding behind hip-hop (If this is even true). Just like Terrance Dean’s book title suggests.

I cannot personally confirm or deny any of this. I’m still trying to break into this so called “Music Industry” with deep dark kept secrets (Which I wouldn’t be apart of). I tell ya money and fame has everyone losing their minds now of days.

Anyway’s read the entire article right here and form your own views and opinion. I happen to treat everyone the same with respect despite, sex, creed, religion, sexual preference or anything else I failed to mention. Again read it all right here, right now! Please?

Hundreds protest Sean Bell verdict

Wednesday May 14, 2008

By NICOLE BODE, KERRY BURKE and CORKY SIEMASZKO
DAILY NEWS STAFF WRITERS

Two hours of controlled fury ended with hundreds of arrests Wednesday after Sean Bell supporters blocked bridge and tunnel entrances in a bid to shut the city down.

Led by the Rev. Al Sharpton, they massed outside 1 Police Plaza and five other key locations in Manhattan and Brooklyn to protest the acquittal of three cops who killed Bell in a 50-bullet barrage on his wedding day.

“You are unlawfully obstructing vehicular traffic,” Lt. John Wolf yelled through a bullhorn when Sharpton tried to lead a march across the Brooklyn Bridge. “I order you to leave the roadway now.”

Sharpton refused, dropped to his knees and started praying. Officers cuffed his hands behind his back and marched him to a waiting police van.

Police also arrested Bell’s fiancée, Nicole Paultre Bell, and the two survivors of the Bell shooting, Trent Benefield and Joseph Guzman. They and more than 200 other protesters were charged with disorderly conduct.

Earlier, on the the upper East Side, about 100 protesters waded into traffic and made for the Queensboro Bridge.

“Get on your knees! Get on your knees!” an organizer yelled.

And they did before the police, who greatly outnumbered the protesters, could stop them.

“It has nothing to do with race or being anti-NYPD,” said demonstrator Antwan Minter, 31, of Harlem. “This is about basic human rights.”

Within minutes, the demonstrators were in handcuffs and the bridge was reopened.

“I’m going to jail for Sean Bell,” Dow Buford, 52, of Staten Island, said as he was led away. “I’m mad as hell.”

Protesters briefly blocked the entrances to the Midtown and Holland tunnels before police arrested the ringleaders and dispersed the others.

In East Harlem, about 90 people were arrested when they tried to block the entrance to the Triborough Bridge.

Sharpton promised the protests - aimed at pressuring the feds to try the Bell detectives on civil rights charges - would be peaceful.

Outside of a brief shoving match between City Councilman Charles Barron (D-Brooklyn) and cops, they largely were, police and protesters said.

Sharpton arrived at Police Headquarters, holding Paultre Bell’s hand, a little before 4 p.m. Also with them were Sean Bell’s parents, William and Valerie.

While the 500 or so demonstrators chanted, “No justice, no peace,” organizers went from protester to protester to take their names and find out whether they would be willing to get arrested. They found about 60 volunteers.

“That’s good,” said William Bell, who chose not to get arrested. “It’s all over the world. We really appreciate the love.”

About 50 cheering demonstrators were waiting at 1 Police Plaza when Sharpton, Paultre Bell and Sean’s buddies emerged more than four hours later.

Sharpton raised a fist in victory and declared, “The Sean Bell movement has been born.”

He said the demonstrations “dispelled the myth that people are not outraged and that they don’t want the Justice Department to investigate. A statement was made today, and we feel proud.”

Paultre Bell, who was arrested for the first time, said the experience left her a bit shaken, but “seeing all the support from everyone eased it a little bit.” In Brooklyn, a crowd of 200 protesters led by Barron and the Rev. Herbert Daughtry tried to march onto the Brooklyn Bridge from its side of the East River.

The crowd was diverted to the Manhattan Bridge, where traffic to and from the city was blocked briefly before cops cleared protesters away. There were 23 people arrested, including Barron and Daughtry.

In Washington, representatives of the Detectives’ Endowment Association met with staffers from the House Judiciary Committee and urged them not to press for federal charges against Detectives Marc Cooper, Michael Oliver and Gescard Isnora.

Gov. Paterson is expected to meet privately today with Sharpton and the Bell family.

Mysterygrimms Thoughts: I think the justice system really needs to take a good look at itself. How can 3 cops get off completely with no charges after shooting a black man, Sean bell, 51 times, cause the NYPD thought he was carrying a hammer? For some of my audience who may not know what that term means.. It’s a street term that in laymen terms means “Gun”.

Hip-Hop Recording Artist Remy Ma got sent to prison for 8 years for shooting her good friend over $3000 (Not a good look and her friend survived) but 3 cops shoot an innocent man, Sean Bell 51 times (Well they shot 51 rounds and kill him) and they get completely off? Zero time in jail, they get to keep their jobs, I can’t call this injustice spreading around. I just don’t get it.

Tracy Denise Roberson - Wife who cried rape when caught with lover is convicted

Tracy Denise Roberson

Wife who cried rape when caught with lover is convicted

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) — A Texas woman who caused her lover’s shooting death by falsely crying rape was convicted Friday of involuntary manslaughter.

Tracy Denise Roberson, 37, cried a bit when the verdict was announced. The punishment phase was set for Monday, and she faces two to 20 years in prison.

In late 2006, Darrell Roberson came home from a late-night card game to find his scantily clad wife with another man in a pickup truck in the driveway. Tracy Roberson was with her lover but cried rape, and her husband fired four shots into the truck as Devin LaSalle drove off, killing him.

Darrell Roberson initially was arrested, but a murder charge was later dropped and a grand jury indicted Tracy Roberson instead.

During her three-day trial, defense attorneys called no witnesses but blamed LaSalle’s death on Darrell Roberson’s jealousy and rage.

But prosecutors placed all the blame on Tracy Roberson, showing evidence of the affair with LaSalle, 32, and a text message in which she invited him to her house that evening.

Marriage seems to be the new “In” thing to do in 2008. I know i’m married and blessed to be married to my beautiful wife Liz. Oh thank you. Thats all i can say personally. The dating scene is horrid right now and i’m glad i’m off that bus. But lets get to the crux of this post…And that is MARRIAGE being the new fad in 2008.

Now rumors are circulating that her sistger twin Tamara Mowry is engaged to some Fox News reporter geesh! Also Mediatakeout.com is reporting that Raven Symone from “Cosby Show” fame is engaged and soon to be getting hitched as well. I guess it’s time for all you ladies out there… to go claim your rings. Cause Hollywood says so.

They Live By Illseed

Monday Apr 14, 2008

Hi all? This is an article by editorial member illseed from allhiphop.com. He basically talks about how racism is hidden and masked by high profile political and news media figures. They use certain ways to inject racism on folks and their peers, through cleverly positioned, well written, snide remarks. Also he compared this act to the movie “They Live” in 1988 that starred WWE Legend Rowdy Roddy Piper.

Basically the movie was about aliens who invaded earth and were high powered people who replicated humans. But if you put on a special pair of sunglasses and could see what they really were, “Aliens”. Same goes for high powered political and new media figures who are mostly “white” and don’t like the fact that Barack Obama who is black may win the presidency.

So they say things in a subliminal matter, almost like the ad and billboards that have secret messages like “obey” in them that you wouldn’t see unless you had the proper equipment or some very special eyes. Anyways heres illseeds article about the matter in his own words and views. Link provided as well.

By illseed

You see them on the street.

You watch them on TV.

You might even vote for one this fall.

You think they’re people just like you.

You’re wrong. Dead wrong.

- The tag line for “They Live”

It gives be great pleasure in saying that THEY LIVE.

In 1988, a campy, classic movie arose called “They Live.” The premise of the movie surrounded a clandestine alien invasion where the intruders actually appeared to be normal humans. Rebelling humans were able to uncover the alien insurrection after donning special sunglasses or contact lenses that pierced the alien’s human mask, revealing a boney alien exterior.

In the real world, we have begun to unearth the new alien [alleged] racists and bigots through their own words.

On Friday March 7, 2007, McCain mouthpiece and Rebublican pollster Kelly Ann Conway (also spelled Kellyanne Conway) made a racially charged, shocking comment to CNN’s Larry King and a group of political talking heads:
”John McCain is in New Orleans tonight addressing the Council on National Policy. It’s been reported these are just the cream of the crop conservatives. This is what he’s doing behind the scenes now while Hillary and Obama argue about whether she should let him sit on the back of the bus of her presidential ticket, or he argues whether or not she lied us into war in 2002.”

I saw this with my own eyes and heard it with my own ears, as did Jamal Simmons, Democratic strategist and Barack Obama supporter, who was also in the Larry King conversation. He also happens to be African American. Simmons took offense to the blatantly racist “back of the bus” remark and intelligently chided Conway, calling her “out of line.”

Of course Conway conned her way our of serious live scolding by trying to make it seem like she just happened to put her words together and nothing should be misconstrued as racially prejudiced.

The modern racist is not a hood wearing, skin-headed monster, They live a very different life with a diverse strategy. They are penetrating the mainstream, acting very much like terror cells or the aliens in “They Live.” They pose as supporters of a candidate or cause with genuine, heartfelt passion and logical reasons.

If we put on our “sunglasses”…or really listen, their true heart emerges. We see right past the thin epidermis to see the cunning of a fork-tongued serpent and devilish desires.

Sound dramatic? You think?

In response to a comment by Michelle Obama where she said she was finally a proud American, Bill O’Reilly responded with:

“And I don’t want to go on a lynching party against Michelle Obama unless there’s evidence, hard facts, that say this is how the woman really feels. If that’s how she really feels — that America is a bad country or a flawed nation, whatever — then that’s legit. We’ll track it down.”

Now, let’s not even get into a long, drawn out brouhaha about America’s legacy of racism (not just towards African Americans), genocidal treatment of the Native Americans, stereotypic images of Asians and a lengthy history of blatant sexism. I think that’s what Obama’s former pastor was attempting to say, before the media mob got him.

But let us address the notion of a so-called “lynching party” that O’Reilly wanted to launch if Mrs. Obama wasn’t a super patriot. Although he eventually issued a very feeble apology, these aren’t casual slip of the tongues…

These are simply the racists showing themselves to us or us unveiling them. A newscaster says young golfers should, “lynch Tiger Woods in a back alley.” Lou Dobbs objected to Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice saying racism was an American “birth defect” by nearly calling her and other Black leaders “cotton pickers.” All sorts of goodies come out of the mouths of these “things”…

Geraldine Ferraro, the first female major party nominee for the vice-presidency, found herself defending herself from accusations that she was an old, cranky bigot.

Of Presidential hopeful, Barack Obama, she told the Daily Breeze, “If Obama was a White man, he would not be in this position. And if he was a woman, he would not be in this position. He happens to be very lucky who he is. And the country is caught up in the concept.”

She is entitled to her opinion, which Obama brushed off as “patently absurd.” I’m entitled to my opinion. Ferraro is a racist invader that Hill allowed to inject ethnicity into the presidential race without merit!

This isn’t about Barack Obama, but it is about a nation really speaking volumes about its ability to move on, as Ferraro insisted the nation do in the aftermath of her headline-grabbing comments.

The nation is drained and fed up by these antiquated, decades old aliens.

Interestingly enough, the space invaders in “They Live” constituted the minority ruling class of the United States. This means all of those in power were actually extraterrestrials. Efficiently, these aliens controlled the media, populated billboards and obvious commercial advertising with hidden messages such as “Obey” in an effort to control the masses in subtle ways. Those special glasses eventually allowed a crass blue collar carpenter (played by WWF legend Rowdy Roddy Piper) to upset the powers that be.

Does this scenario sound even remotely familiar?

Bill O’Reilly, Geraldine Ferraro, Sean Hannity (who really is alien) and the cronies of the old guard are like aliens these days supporting a legacy backed by pseudo-intellectual facts. Sometimes, they recruit African American looking-people to do their bidding as well. These things cater to fear, they cater to discrimination and they tap into a prejudiced past that goes back some 400 years. But also, it exists more recently that that. Hate killed Martin Luther King, Jr. a mere 40 years ago. Rodney King was whipped by LAPD over 17 years ago. Hurricane Katrina and the subsequent lack of reaction by the Bush administration are approaching its third anniversary (remember what GW Bush did and what Barabara Bush said)? It seems like yesterday when there was a noose popping up everywhere from police precincts to college campuses.

I feel proud to be among the human race that is much more interested in collective progress than those special interests with business as usual on the mind. We are going to make this change and that’s regardless of Obama getting into office. Work together or go down together – there are no other options.

The glasses are on and the veil is up.

They live, but we see them.

Gentrification

Sunday Apr 6, 2008

Gentrification is a real problem in our communities…. and communities around the 50 states. It goes on in many impoverished neighborhoods, in urban cities and towns. Basically… it’s all the construction you seem to see, everywhere you go, where they convert projects and run down apartments into nice townhouses and condo’s.

It’s good for rich and comfortable middle class folks, and bad for poor folks, folks who mostly fall into the African American, Hispanic race category (The Minority). I found this interesting article or definition in detail on what Gentrification means and where the term was created from. Read the article or term below. Link is provided below as well (copy and paste works wonders).

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gentrification

Gentrification, or urban gentrification, is a phenomenon in which low-cost, physically deteriorated neighborhoods undergo physical renovation and an increase in property values, along with an influx of wealthier residents who may displace the prior residents”.
